Open Letter.
From Nikiya Bechtle. Scotts Valley High. Cal Poly, SLO.
I had the opportunity to play with the most inspirational coaches and supportive teammates at West Valley Basketball for all 4 years of highschool. I can attribute my accountability and commitment in all areas of my life to the West Valley Family. Upon highschool, I received a degree in Communication Studies at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Since I was not playing a sport for the first time in my life, I had no clue what to do with all of my time. This led me to becoming a Young Life leader, studying abroad in Spain, joining the American Marketing Association, competing in trail running, and starting my path towards personal training and nutrition coaching. Through personal training and nutrition coaching I am hoping to give others the same support I received throughout my athletic career. In the near future, I hope to attain my real estate license and move to Southern California. One (out of hundreds) of Bobby’s quotes I will always carry with me is “Good better best, never let it rest, until good is your better and better is your best”.
