Open Letter.

From Natalia Ackerman. Aptos High School. Cal Poly SLO.

Hi guys!

My experience at West Valley was one of a kind. If you want to pursue college basketball this is definitely the place to be. Having coaches around everywhere shows how dedicated they are to making great players. If you take their constructive criticism I promise you will improve. It’s all mental. You will endure a lot. Sweat more than you thought you could ever sweat. Be pushed beyond your limits. All things that are necessary to becoming better.

Going into west valley I wasn’t sure I even wanted to play college basketball and that was my sophomore year. I knew I loved the sport but wasn’t sure how dedicated I could be. West Valley showed me the dedication and discipline I need to push myself to the next level. The effort that you put in will be shown. Whether in practice or games in front of college coaches. Those games are the most exciting and nerve wracking but if I were to give some advice keep your mindset at exciting. If you are really putting in the work there is nothing to be nervous about! This is the time to dedicate yourself because the only limit you have is the one you make.
