From Anika Prassad. Saratoga High School. Carnegie Mellon.
To the future West Valley Basketball players and the younger class, really enjoy your time being in this program. I’m lucky to have joined last year and regret not knowing about it sooner. The tight knit community and friendships between the players and coaches are a rare thing to have, and every second on the court you are pushed and trained to become an even better player than you were the day before.
I want to thank Bobby, Coach James, Coach Jacyln, and so many others for trusting me as a player and investing their time to make me a better one. I also want to thank my high school coaches, my trainer and friends-many who I’ve met through the sport. I couldn’t have made it this far without everyone.
Lastly I want to thank my parents for being right by my side since I began playing basketball. They were always there for me through the ups and downs and the amount of love and support they have given me has translated into my love for the game itself. I am beyond excited to continue playing basketball at CMU.
